DESCRIPTION BOOK

• Whenever a writer sets their pen to paper, it doesn’t mean they must write about *their own life* or *your life.* A teacher enlightens and cautions about what is right, and similarly, a writer composes to inform or entertain based on the direction of their writing. If a writer includes a beautiful character, it doesn’t mean they possess that beauty themselves, for we all know there are beautiful people in the world. If they depict a character with modest looks (for Allah didn’t create anyone ugly; each person has their unique natural beauty), it doesn’t mean the writer falls into that category – it’s just how the story unfolded.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If a wealthy character is described, it doesn’t mean the writer is wealthy. If they portray a powerful individual, it doesn’t imply they are of a noble lineage. If they write about a commoner, it doesn’t mean they are one. All I know is that a writer’s pen can touch anyone – the wealthy, the poor, the powerful, villagers, city dwellers, the educated, the uneducated, the beautiful, and those with a different type of beauty. People with good character, the mischievous, and everyone in between. And, if you observe thoughtfully, you’ll find that in this world – even in thought alone – you can encounter someone whose life resembles the story you’re reading.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• That’s why it’s a mistake for readers to narrow their perspective and assume the writer only expresses their own experiences or beliefs. If what’s written doesn’t align with the reader’s views, it doesn’t mean the writer is wrong. Remember, Allah created us with different languages, genders, regions, colors, religions, and dialects. It’s not necessary for a writer to write about what you know or what you see. Many writers have written their own stories or lives in books without the readers even realizing it’s theirs, simply because they didn’t openly share it with the world.

 

So, I ask of you, when you come across a book, read it not because it has to match the life of the author. Instead, focus on the lessons within, benefit from it, and if there’s anything you don’t agree with, simply set it aside. Enjoy the joy it brings, for some things are written solely to enhance the story or to entertain the reader, perhaps even to lift a specific burden from their heart. • I didn’t give such a long explanation to change anyone’s mind, but rather to help you understand, to bring clarity to your thoughts on what it means to be a writer. Everyone may be a fan of Bilyn Abdull, but that doesn’t mean she has to be everyone’s ideal.
